The wine region of Moscato di Scanzo is located in the region of Valcalepio of Lombardie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Azienda Agricola Biava or the Domaine La Brugherata produce mainly wines sweet, red and white. On the nose of Moscato di Scanzo often reveals types of flavors of oak, non oak or earth and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit. In the mouth of Moscato di Scanzo is a powerful with a lot of tannins present in the mouth.
We currently count 8 estates and châteaux in the of Moscato di Scanzo, producing 9 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Moscato di Scanzo go well with generally quite well with dishes of sweet desserts, beef or pasta.
