The wine region of Valle del Crati is located in the region of Calabre of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Serracavallo or the Domaine Serracavallo produce mainly wines red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Valle del Crati are Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Valle del Crati often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of black fruit.
In the mouth of Valle del Crati is a powerful with a lot of tannins present in the mouth. We currently count 2 estates and châteaux in the of Valle del Crati, producing 4 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Valle del Crati go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.
Clotilde Davenne, from the eponymous estate, mentions the cherry as a main characteristic of the Irancy appellation.
