The wine region of Roussette du Bugey is located in the region of Bugey of Savoie of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Famille Peillot or the Domaine Patrick Charlin produce mainly wines white, red and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Roussette du Bugey are Altesse, Roussette d'Ayze and Pinot gris, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Roussette du Bugey often reveals types of flavors of minerality, peach or oak and sometimes also flavors of vegetal, microbio or non oak.
We currently count 15 estates and châteaux in the of Roussette du Bugey, producing 17 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Roussette du Bugey go well with generally quite well with dishes of rich fish (salmon, tuna etc), shellfish or mature and hard cheese.
