The wine region of Commandaria is located in the region of Lemesos of Cyprus. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Loel or the Domaine Etko - Olympus Wineries produce mainly wines red, sweet and natural sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Commandaria are Chardonnay, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Commandaria often reveals types of flavors of oaky, microbio or floral and sometimes also flavors of red fruit, plum or smoke.
We currently count 14 estates and châteaux in the of Commandaria, producing 39 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Commandaria go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or spicy food.
