Resulting from a natural intraspecific crossing between the Savagnin and the Cauzette plant, the latter being close to the Tannat. It should be noted that it has very often been confused with the Saint Côme, it is true that we have noted some points of resemblance. Bouysselet is very old in the Haute Garonne, more precisely in Villaudric, where it almost disappeared, but has now been replanted to the great satisfaction of connoisseurs. The wine region of Bordeaux Supérieur
Bordeaux Supérieur is an appellation level applied to wines produced in the Generic area of the Bordeaux PDO. They are produced from the classic Bordeaux Grape varieties. The reds are, as the name suggests, intended to be a slightly "superior" form of the standard Bordeaux AOC wines. They are therefore heavily based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
