Vinified dry and sweet. Star of Gaillac AOC, defining the identity of Gaillac whites both dry and sweet. Indigenous French white variety from the South-West, also called Len de l'El, grown in the Tarn.

Powerful, sunny reds: dense Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (blackcurrant, chocolate, tobacco, ample tannins), spicy, jammy Zinfandel from the Sierra Foothills, silky red-fruited Pinot Noir on the cool coast (Sonoma, Russian River, Central Coast).
