WO district of Olifants River, 170 km north of Cape Town (valley between Cederberg and Olifants River Mountains, clay soils retaining moisture, hot days and significantly cool nights due to altitude): Chenin Blanc as signature white king adapted to multiple microclimates — complex profile and varietal expression through moist clay soils. Colombard as complement, cool-climate mineral Sauvignon Blanc, local table wines and brandies.
