This variety of grape is characterized by medium-sized bunches and small to medium-sized grapes. Seyval blanc can be found cultivated in the following vineyards: Rhône Valley, Loire Valley, Savoie & Bugey, Beaujolais, Languedoc & Roussillon, Provence & Corsica.

The wine region of Vino da Tavola

Vino da Tavola was the most basic classification of Italian wines. It is now renamed simply "Vino" and appears on labels as Vino d'Italia. The original name literally means "table wine" as opposed to premium wines from specific geographical locations (see EU wine label). In May 2011, the first legal steps were taken to abolish the Vino da Tavola category, in favor of a New classification of wines called simply Vino.

The word of the wine: Phylloxera

Aphid that came from America and ravaged European vineyards at the end of the 19th century. It lives on the roots of the vine, from which it pumps the sap. The only vines capable of resisting it had to be imported from the United States, and then grafted onto their root system the wood of traditional French grape varieties. Today, grafted vines are always planted.
