Discover the grape variety: Graisse

Lively, neutral dry whites with a pale golden robe, a taut palate with marked acidity, and undemonstrative aromas of citrus and white flowers. An acidic profile ideal for distillation. A traditional component of Armagnac AOC blends, it contributes to the aromatic identity and finesse of Gascon eau-de-vie alongside Ugni Blanc, Baco and Colombard. An indigenous French white from the South-West, grown mainly in Gascony for distillation.

The wine region of Srednja I Juzna Dalmacija

Central and southern Croatian Dalmatia, coast and islands (Hvar, Brač, Korčula, Pelješac), extreme slopes on limestone karst above the Adriatic. Signature Plavac Mali as king red (parent of Zinfandel): powerful and sunlit with black mulberry, dried fig, candied cherry, garrigue, leather, tobacco and an iodine-balsamic touch, firm tannins and warm palate — peaking in Dingač and Postup on Pelješac. Mediterranean Pošip and Grk whites. Full-bodied iodine wines.

The wine region of Dalmatian Coast

Croatia's Adriatic coast, native identity grapes in full revival. Signature Plavac Mali: powerful, sun-soaked reds with notes of candied blackberry, black plum, dried fig, garrigue, tobacco and spices, firm tannins and a warm palate — at its peak in Dingač and Postup (Pelješac). Also dense Babić. Ample, aromatic Pošip whites (pear, honey, fennel), lively Maraština, mineral Debit.

The word of the wine: Passerillage

Concentration of the grape by drying out, under the influence of wind or sun, as opposed to botrytisation, which is the concentration obtained by the development of the "noble rot" for which Botrytis cinerea is responsible. The word is mainly used for sweet wines.
