Adriatic DOC (1989) between Ferrara and Ravenna, sandy reclaimed soils (bonifica) from the Po and Reno rivers near the sea ("sand wines"). Native Fortana (Uva d'oro) as the signature ruby red, traditional frizzante: lively notes of cherry, strawberry, violet and a herbaceous-saline touch, low in alcohol (10. 5–11%) and pleasantly tart. Supple Merlot, crisp herbaceous Sauvignon and fresh Trebbiano as complements.
