Dense, sun-drenched reds with notes of black cherry, plum, sweet spice and tobacco (firm Cabernet Sauvignon, intense deeply coloured Georgian Saperavi), round tannins. Ample Chardonnay and lively citrusy Rkatsiteli whites. Soviet-inherited sparkling tradition ("Shampanskoye").
