Round and fleshy reds with a velvety texture, showing aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, cocoa and truffle notes with age. Supple tannins, generous alcohol, indulgent finish. Pillar of Libournais (Pomerol with Pétrus, Saint-Émilion with Cheval Blanc and Ausone) and signature of Super Tuscans, Italian Wales and Washington State. The wine region of Victoria

Australian diversity from cool to temperate climate. Yarra Valley and Mornington: fine, silky Pinot Noir (cherry, raspberry, undergrowth), taut, mineral Chardonnay. Heathcote: structured Shiraz with black fruits, pepper and chocolate. Rutherglen, fortified capital: opulent sweet Topaque and Muscat (raisin, caramel, fig, roast notes).

The word of the wine: Primeur

Said of wines from the last vintage and, by extension, wines of the year, fruity and easy-drinking, put on sale on the third Thursday in November. The AOC regulations specify that a wine is said to be primeur if it is bottled before the spring, and nouveau if it is bottled before the following harvest. Beaujolais Nouveau is therefore a vin primeur.
