Aromatic, expressive dry whites with a pale golden colour and a broad, crisp palate; signature intense muscat aromas (rose, fresh grape), white flowers, exotic fruits (lychee, mango) and citrus. Modern disease-resistant early-ripening profile. Grown in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the UK in organic northern vineyards. German white hybrid obtained in 1987 in Freiburg, from Solaris × Muscat à Petits Grains.

The wine region of Robertson

South African "home of Chardonnay" in the Breede valley: signature king white, full and fresh with notes of citrus, apple, white peach, vanilla and a chalky mineral touch, preserved acidity. Excellent Cap Classique sparkling (traditional method) rivalling good Champagnes. Sunny Shiraz as red (blackberry, plum, spice, pepper), structured Cabernet and Pinotage as reds. Chenin and Colombard as whites.


The wine region of Western Cape

Cradle of South African wine. Signature Chenin Blanc (Steen, 20%) in ample, fresh whites with notes of quince, yellow apple, honey and acacia flower, from crisp dry to sweet. Sharp, iodised Sauvignon Blanc (Walker Bay, Constantia), balanced Chardonnay. Reds: emblematic Pinotage with roasted aromas (coffee, plum, smoke), firm Cabernet Sauvignon, spicy Syrah.

The word of the wine: Bordeaux barrel

Barrels of 220 to 225 litres. The toasting of the barrel to bend the staves (curved boards used to make the barrels) can vary according to the coopers and the demand. A gentle and slow toasting has little effect on the aromas. On the other hand, a strong toasting gives aromas of coffee or cocoa which will influence the taste of the wine. A wine barrel has already been aged for a year and has less impact on the wine than a new barrel.
