Discover the grape variety: Gouget

Simple, fruity reds with a pale colour, a light ruby robe, silky tannins and an airy palate with moderate acidity. Understated aromas of red fruits. Discrete rustic profile. Nearly gone from commercial cultivation, preserved in INRAE varietal collections for its heritage value; it reflects pre-phylloxera ampelographic diversity. A rare French black grape, once grown in the centre and south-west.

The wine region of Montenetto di Brescia

Lombard IGT on the hills southwest of Brescia (Capriano del Colle, Poncarale, Flero, Castenedolo). Marzemino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are the signature reds with intense black cherry, blackberry, cinnamon, pepper and spice, firm tannins. Barbera and Merlot as supple complements, aromatic Sangiovese. Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Trebbiano as fresh whites with flowers and citrus.

The wine region of Lombardia

Three poles. Franciacorta DOCG, Italy's answer to Champagne: elegant brioche traditional-method sparklers (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc), fine bubble and mineral profile. Alpine Valtellina: Nebbiolo (alias Chiavennasca) with fine tannins and red fruits, powerful Sforzato passito. Oltrepò Pavese: fresh Pinot Noir and fruity-sparkling Bonarda.

The word of the wine: Perfume

A pleasant scent most commonly associated with the world of flowers.
