Central Grand Cru on the Chablis hillside in a narrow valley cut by the Chemin Sainte Vaubourg: 100% Chardonnay on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone and oyster-fossil marl. Signature duality — south-east-facing slopes for richness, north-west-facing slopes for freshness. Steely and powerful whites with white fruits, citrus, flowers and saline notes, deep and taut minerality. Dense, long palate, vertical structure, cellaring potential of 15–25 years.
