It should not be confused with Négret de Banhars, Négret Castrais or Négret de la Canourgue, and it should be noted that it is related to Prunelard. Nahe is one of the smaller German wine regions, named after the Nahe river which joins the Rhein at Rheinhessen/bingen">Bingen.
