The wine region of Lanzarote
The wine region of Lanzarote is located in the region of Iles Canaries of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Vega de Yuco or the Domaine Bermejo produce mainly wines white, red and sweet. The archipelago of the Canary Islands (or Las Canarias) is an autonomous community of Spain located in the North Atlantic Ocean, 110 km from the west coast of Morocco. The wine trade there is far from famous - few local wines come out of the Canary Islands - but there is a Long and unique wine tradition in the region. The spectacularly high Canary Islands are located at a latitude of about 28°N, making it the most tropical wine region in Europe. The word of the wine: Pinot meunier
Cultivated in the 19th century in all the northern vineyards, this black grape variety has largely regressed since. Very present in the Marne valley, it constitutes a third of the vineyards in Champagne, alongside pinot noir and chardonnay with which it is often blended. It brings roundness and red and yellow fruit aromas to champagnes. Pinot meunier is also the dominant grape variety in red and rosé wines in the Orleans AOC and the rare Touraine-Noble-Joué, a grey wine. Syn.: meunier.
