Cabernet Franc is one of the oldest red grape varieties in Bordeaux. The Libourne region is its terroir where it develops best. The terroirs of Saint-Emilion and Fronsac allow it to mature and develop its best range of aromas. It is also the majority in many blends. The Côte de Beaujolais/brouilly">Brouilly is one of the 10 crus appellations of the Beaujolais region. It covers the slopes of the dormant volcano of Mont Brouilly in Central Beaujolais. The area is entirely surrounded by the vineyards of the much larger Brouilly appellation, but it is home to a significantly different style of wine, made from the Gamay Grape. Côte de Brouilly wines are concentrated and Elegant, with Floral">floral characters, and are less earthy than their Brouilly counterparts.
