Discover the grape variety: Ugni blanc et rose

Light, simple whites or rosés with a pale robe, a lively palate and preserved acidity, showing understated aromas of white flowers, white fruits (apple) and neutral notes. Now virtually absent from commercial cultivation, preserved for its heritage value in varietal collections of the Charentes. The pink-skinned mutation of Ugni Blanc, a rare French variety studied for its genetic interest among ancient Charentes varieties.

The wine region of Almeirim

Sub-zone of Tejo DOC in Portugal (~1,200 ha between the cool Lezíria on the Tagus bank and the sandy Charneca with rolled pebbles, temperate-warm climate with fluvial influence): Fernão Pires indigenous signature white of the Lezíria (queen of whites) — lively aromatic profile with floral notes and fresh fruits. Touriga Nacional, Aragonez (Tempranillo), Castelão and Syrah in full-bodied reds of the Charneca, Arinto and Chardonnay in fresh whites, bipartite terroir versatility.

The wine region of Tejo

West-central Portuguese region along the Tagus, formerly Ribatejo, 17,000 ha. Supple, fruity reds with signature notes of plum, cherry, Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices, round tannins and a generous palate - fleshy everyday wines. Flagship Castelão (blackberry, tobacco), concentrated Trincadeira, perfumed Touriga Nacional (violet, black fruits), spicy Tinta Roriz. Whites: floral Fernão Pires and lively citrusy Arinto.

The word of the wine: Organic (agriculture)

A type of agriculture (and therefore viticulture) based on respect for living organisms and biological cycles, and which excludes the use of synthetic treatment products and synthetic fertilizers. Organic farming is guaranteed by the respect of a set of specifications.
