Interspecific cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Bronner obtained in 1983 by Norbert Becker in Freiburg (Germany). A resistance gene has been identified to oidium, no gene to mildew. It can be found in Germany, but also in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, ... and in France.
The wine region of Mitterberg is located in the region of Trentin-Haut-Adige of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Hartmann Donà or the Domaine Kränzelhof Graf Pfeil produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Mitterberg are Gewurztraminer, Zweigelt and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Mitterberg often reveals types of flavors of tree fruit, spices or earth and sometimes also flavors of microbio, citrus fruit or oak.
