Made as dry (Trocken, Alsace), off-dry (Kabinett, Spätlese) and sweet (Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese, late harvest). Star of the Moselle, Rheingau, Alsace AOC and Wachau. Also exported to Clare Valley and Finger Lakes.

Specialty: traditional-method sparkling Aligoté/Chardonnay (apple, citrus, brioche).
