Whites with many faces: mineral and taut at Chablis (lemon, green apple, flint), opulent and buttery at Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet (hazelnut, brioche, yellow fruits), tense and chalky in Champagne (Blanc de Blancs). Pioneer vineyard in Ecuador's south-western Guayas province (Pacific coast), limestone soils rich in marine fossils, tropical maritime climate tempered by the Humboldt Current (24°C average, 14°C amplitude). Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot are signature king reds — full-bodied with ripe dark fruits, plum, cherry and a spiced touch, supple tannins. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc as fresh whites. Two harvests per year.
