The wine region of Troodos South of Cyprus. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Ayia Mavri or the Domaine Ayia Mavri produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. A total of £72,600 was raised from 79 lots at the sixteenth DWWA wine auction hosted by Christie’s on 2 December – beating a record set in 2018. This total excludes Christie’s buyer’s premium. Cambridge University study suggests smaller glasses can reduce overall wine consumption
The researchers conducted a crossover trial featuring 217 UK households that drink wine on a regular basis. They were randomly given 290ml or 350ml glasses to drink from during the four-week study period.
