The wine region of York Mountain is located in the region of San Luis Obispo County of California of United States. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Calcareous or the Domaine The Royal Monesuch Farm produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of York Mountain are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Pinot noir and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of York Mountain often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of red fruit, microbio or spices.
In the mouth of York Mountain is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 9 estates and châteaux in the of York Mountain, producing 12 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture.
