The wine region of Banghoek is located in the region of Stellenbosch of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Allée Bleue or the Domaine Allée Bleue produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Banghoek are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet franc and Merlot, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Banghoek often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Banghoek is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 4 estates and châteaux in the of Banghoek, producing 11 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Banghoek go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or pork.
