The wine region of Bot River is located in the region of Walker Bay of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Wildekrans or the Domaine Luddite produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Bot River are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Pinotage and Chenin blanc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Bot River often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or microbio.
In the mouth of Bot River is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 11 estates and châteaux in the of Bot River, producing 36 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Bot River go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, game (deer, venison) or poultry.
