The wine region of Malgas is located in the region of Swellendam of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Sijnn or the Domaine Sijnn produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Malgas are Chenin blanc, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Roussanne, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Malgas often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Malgas is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 2 estates and châteaux in the of Malgas, producing 8 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Malgas go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, game (deer, venison) or shellfish.
