The wine region of Klaasvoogds is located in the region of Robertson of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Kranskop or the Domaine Kranskop produce mainly wines red, sweet and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Klaasvoogds are Tannat, Viognier and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Klaasvoogds often reveals types of flavors of earth, oak or non oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Klaasvoogds is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 1 estates and châteaux in the of Klaasvoogds, producing 5 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Klaasvoogds go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pork or rich fish (salmon, tuna etc).
