The wine region of Bernkastel is located in the region of Mosel of Germany. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Joh. Jos. Prüm or the Domaine Joh.
Jos. Prüm produce mainly wines white, sweet and red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Bernkastel are Riesling, Dornfelder and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Bernkastel often reveals types of flavors of tropical, tree fruit or black fruit and sometimes also flavors of spices, oak or non oak.
In the mouth of Bernkastel is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 15 estates and châteaux in the of Bernkastel, producing 53 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Bernkastel go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, shellfish or spicy food.
