The wine region of Southern Fieurieu is located in the region of Fleurieu of Australie du Sud of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Vinteloper or the Domaine Mosquito Hill produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Southern Fieurieu are Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Southern Fieurieu often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, tree fruit or citrus fruit.
In the mouth of Southern Fieurieu is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 5 estates and châteaux in the of Southern Fieurieu, producing 8 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Southern Fieurieu go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, spicy food or mushrooms.
