Southern California county encompassing Temecula Valley AVA (south-west of county on east slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains, AVA 1984, well-drained decomposed granite at 460 m, cool summer nights via Rainbow Gap corridor, 63 varieties). Cabernet Sauvignon is the signature dominant red — structured profile with concentrated dark fruits.
