Supple, fruity reds with a moderate ruby colour, smooth tannins and a light, fresh palate; signature aromas of red fruits (cherry, raspberry), gentle spices and floral notes. Also made into refreshing sparkling rosés. Traditionally blended with Debina and Vlachiko for Zitsa PDO sparkling rosés, or with Agiorgitiko for Epirus reds. Indigenous Greek black grape from Epirus, DNA-identical to Turkish Dimrit.

Vast Provençal IGP in the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur: signature Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Tibouren as royal rosés — pale and fruity with notes of peach, citrus, strawberry, white flowers and a hint of spice, signature chiselled freshness, the regional flagship. Disease of the vine due to a fungus. Downy mildew is formidable because it attacks all the organs, from the stem to the grapes, including the leaves, in depth. It was against it that the famous copper and lime-based Bordeaux mixture was developed.
