Ward of Walker Bay (Western Cape, South Africa) — highest of the three Hemel-en-Aarde appellations: Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aromatic and expressive with the latest ripening. Coolest climate in the region, strongest winds and lowest clay content. Abundant winter rainfall, slow ripening — exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
