The wine region of Tulum Valley

Central valley of San Juan (Argentina), 2nd national wine zone (~46,000 ha), altitude 600–1,400 m, desert climate with strong diurnal range, Andean glacial irrigation. Syrah is the flagship red (emblem of San Juan): powerful and sun-drenched with notes of blackberry, black cherry, stewed plum, pepper, violet and spice, round tannins and brilliant altitude fruit. Bonarda supple and Malbec dense as complements. Aromatic Torrontés, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel for concentrated sweet wines.

The wine region of San Juan

Argentina's 2nd province by volume, a very sunny Andean oasis (<30 cloudy days/year). Signature Syrah (~22% of Argentine Syrah): intense, sun-drenched reds with signature notes of blackberry, black plum, pepper, olive, violet and sweet spice, round tannins and vivid fruit. Also fleshy Malbec, supple Bonarda, spicy Tempranillo. Floral, muscat Torrontes and ample Chardonnay in white.
