Discover the grape variety: Malvasia di Sardegna

Structured and oxidative whites with fine ageing potential, amber in colour, an ample palate with fresh acidity, and signature aromas of roasted almonds, dried fruits (walnut, fig), candied citrus and rancio notes. Also as sweet passito liquoreux. Star of the Malvasia di Bosa DOC, expressing itself in complex sweet island wines and Sardinian passito. The wine region of Kartli

Central region of Georgia north of Tbilisi along the Kura, vineyards between 500 and 800 m, continental climate with hot days and cool nights. Signature Chinuri as white king: candied citrus, white flowers, yellow apple and tangy touch — base of great orange wines in qvevri (long macerations). Rounder Goruli Mtsvane (honey, citrus). Tavkveri as soft red (red fruits, raspberry, spices, fine tannins).

The word of the wine: Oenologist

Specialist in wine-making techniques. It is a profession and not a passion: one can be an oenophile without being an oenologist (and the opposite too!). Formerly attached to the Faculty of Pharmacy, oenology studies have become independent and have their own university course. Learning to make wine requires a good chemical background but also, increasingly, a good knowledge of the plant. Some oenologists work in laboratories (analysis). Others, the consulting oenologists, work directly in the properties.
