Discover the grape variety: Magdeleine noire des Charentes

Light, fruity reds for early drinking with a clear ruby robe, silky tannins, airy palate and signature aromas of red fruits (cherry, raspberry) and subtle floral notes. Rare heritage variety. Near-extinct, surviving in a few plots in Charentes and Brittany, preserved in varietal collections for its scientific importance as confirmed ancestor of Merlot and Malbec (genetic studies, 2009).

The wine region of M&oacuter

Northwest Hungarian region between Vértes and Bakony, vineyards cited since the 14th c. , limestone and loess soils, continental climate. Ezerjó exclusive signature white king ('thousand benefits', indigenous): dry and taut with citrus, green apple, fresh herbs, white flowers and mineral touch, lively acidity and structured palate. Leányka floral, Tramini spiced (rose, lychee) and ample Chardonnay as complement.

The wine region of Észak-Dunántúl

Northern Transdanubia wine region (northern Hungary) grouping Etyek-Buda, Neszmély, Mór and Pannonhalma, with limestone and volcanic soils at Mór. Nearly exclusively white wines: Olaszrizling (Welschriesling) ample with apple, citrus, almond and honeyed touch. Opulent Chardonnay, lively Sauvignon Blanc, floral Tramini and fragrant Muscat Ottonel. Ezerjó generous on volcanic soils.

A method used since the phylloxera crisis, consisting of fixing a graft of local origin on a rootstock resistant to phylloxera.
