IG of Oltenia (south-west Romania) between the Carpathians and the Danube, temperate-continental climate with hot summers and long autumns. Fetească Neagră is the signature red: full-bodied and spicy with plum, blackberry, black cherry, leather, tobacco and a floral note, ripe tannins. Negru de Drăgășani and Novac as native reds, Cabernet and Merlot also present. Crâmpoșie Selecționată lively, Fetească Albă, Sauvignon Blanc and aromatic Tămâioasă Românească among the whites.

A white grape variety cultivated since antiquity on the shores of the Mediterranean, it is considered the noblest of the muscats. It is mainly used to make sweet wines, often from mutage.
