Rich and structured whites with excellent ageing potential, a deep golden hue, an ample palate with fresh acidity and signature aromas of almond, white flowers (acacia), ripe yellow fruits (peach, apricot) and saline mineral notes. Also typical orange maceration wines. Star of the Istarska Malvazija (Croatia) and Malvasia Istriana di Friuli appellations, a great white of the northern Adriatic. Lombard DOC renamed in 2008 (~2,800 ha south shore Lake Iseo, Brescia): signature Chardonnay as white king (50%) complemented by Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir — rich aromatic profile with lively acidity. Merlot (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10-35%), Cabernet Franc and Carmenère (20%) as red kings — structured Bordeaux style with black fruits and spice. Tempered lakeside microclimate, signature glacial moraines, still wines complementing neighbouring Franciacorta DOCG.
