Intensely coloured and structured reds with an inky, near-black robe, firm tannins and a dense mouthfeel, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, plum, spices, black pepper and balsamic notes reminiscent of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine region of Rhone Valley

France's 2nd-largest AOC vineyard, two complementary worlds. Northern: pure Syrah in signature reds (Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Cornas), deep and peppery with blackberry, violet, black olive and smoked bacon notes, exceptional ageing. Opulent Viognier whites (Condrieu, apricot, flowers) and ample Marsanne-Roussanne. Southern: sun-soaked Grenache blends at Châteauneuf, Gigondas, Vacqueyras (candied fruit, garrigue).

The word of the wine: Erinosis

Generally benign condition caused by a very small mite. The infested leaves show blisters on the upper surface, sometimes reddish, sometimes green, to which corresponds on the lower surface a dense felting, first pinkish white, then brownish or reddish.
