A very old grape variety grown in Croatia, on the island of Korcula in southern Dalmatia. It is said to be the result of a natural cross between two Croatian grape varieties, zlatarica blatska and bratkovina. It should not be confused with furmint, which has the synonym posip. Today, Posip can be found throughout Croatia and neighbouring countries... in France it is almost unknown, yet it seems interesting in the production of different/original white wines to discover.

Kakheti is the most important wine region in Georgia">Georgia in quantitative, qualitative and even historic terms. Almost three-quarters of the country's wine Grapes are grown here, on land that has been used for viticulture for thousands of years. Kakheti is home to some of the oldest human habitations in the entire Caucasus region, and archaeological findings have suggested that wine has been produced here for several thousand years. The region's strong relationship with wine and Vine was captured in Georgia's famous hymn 'Thou Art a Vineyard', written in the 12th Century by King Demetrius I.

Angélus withdraws from the next St-Emilion classification
Bordeaux’s Château Angélus has withdrawn its candidacy from the next St-Emilion classification, the producer announced today via a press release sent to Decanter. The withdrawal follows that of Château Cheval Blanc and Château Ausone who announced the news in July 2021.
