Very intensely coloured and structured reds with a near-black deep ruby colour, slightly teinturier pulp, firm tannins and dense palate, with signature aromas of black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant), plum, spices and balsamic notes. Riesling is the white king: taut and mineral with lively citrus, white peach, red apple and a stony-petrol note, elegant acidity. Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris give ample creamy whites with stone fruits. Pinot Noir is the refined silky red king with red fruits, undergrowth and delicate tannins.
