The wine region of Gansu

Historic vineyard of the Hexi Corridor (ancient Silk Road) between the Tibetan and loess plateaus, highly sunny semi-desert climate with cold nights. Cabernet Sauvignon is the signature red — structured with intense blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, spices and a fresh-balsamic altitude touch, round tannins and racy acidity. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir as complements. Chardonnay and Riesling as taut whites.

The word of the wine: Film maceration

A technique that consists of leaving the grapes to macerate in the open air at a low temperature before fermentation, thus enhancing the aromatic expression of the wine.
