Discover the grape variety: Chasselas

Light, lively whites with a tender palate and low acidity, with discreet aromas of fresh hazelnut, white flowers, light honey, apple and strongly terroir-driven mineral notes ("chameleon wine" of Swiss soils). Made as dry, often slightly sparkling whites. Absolute star of Vaud (Dézaley, Calamin, Lavaux Grand Cru) and Valais (Fendant) in Switzerland. Also in Pouilly-sur-Loire AOC and the German Jura. Excellent table grape.

The wine region of Crépy

AOC of the Bas-Chablais in Savoie (Haute-Savoie, south of Lake Geneva, Ballaison, Douvaine, Loisin, 70 ha, classified 1948), clay-gravel moraine soils, continental-mountain climate. Chasselas signature ('fendant roux') as a delicate, lightly sparkling white with vibrant notes of citrus, white flowers, green apple and a refined saline-lacustrine mineral touch, taut balance and fine perlage. Gringet, Aligoté and Altesse as complements. Lacustrine elegance.

The wine region of Savoie

French Alpine vineyard with unique native grapes. Signature Jacquère in whites (~50% of the vineyard): lively, light dry wines with white flowers, green apple, citrus, fresh almond and a mineral touch, perfect with fondue and raclette. Ampler Altesse (Roussette) (pear, honey, hazelnut). Fruity, peppery Mondeuse reds (cherry, violet, firm tannins), light Gamay and fine Pinot Noir.

The word of the wine: Burgundy melon

A white grape variety from Burgundy that is not widely used in its native region, but has spread to the Nantes region. It is the exclusive variety of Muscadet. It gives a dry pale yellow wine, supple and lively, with an intense bouquet, to which maturing on lees gives fatness and aromatic complexity.
