WO district on the peninsula south of Cape Town (1998, integrated into Cape Town WO 2017, 11 km strip between cold Benguela Atlantic and Agulhas Indian currents, infertile decomposed granite, cool breezes slowing ripening): signature Sauvignon Blanc as cool-climate white — complex herbaceous profile with distinctive taut saline minerality. Elegant Chardonnay and concentrated Shiraz as complements, aromatic stressed berries.
