The wine region of Cisterna d'Asti

Recent Piedmontese DOC (2002) between Roero (Cuneo) and Astigiano (Asti), alluvial soils. Croatina is the autochthonous signature variety (≥80%, here called Bonarda di Cisterna, century-old vines) as the king red: deep ruby with vibrant notes of ripe cherry, crushed raspberry, blackberry, violet and a peppery touch, supple tannins and lively acidity with a gourmand bitterness. Dry and fruity young, or age-worthy Superiore. A gem from the Asti hills.

The wine region of Piedmont

Kingdom of Nebbiolo: Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG, long-ageing reds with firm tannins and lively acidity, complex aromas of withered rose, sour cherry, tar, truffle and undergrowth. More accessible, tangy Barbera on red fruit, supple, crisp Dolcetto. Sweet, floral sparkling Moscato d'Asti, mineral, lemony Gavi (Cortese) white, round, almondy Arneis from Roero. 50,000 ha across the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, UNESCO.

The word of the wine: Biodynamics

Biodynamic farming method initiated by Rudolf Steiner which forbids all chemical treatments based on synthetic products. Biodynamics is based on the interaction between the movements of the planets and the development of plants and uses preparations based on organic and mineral materials.
