Colourful and fruity reds with a deep purple hue, smooth tannins and an airy palate with moderate acidity, featuring aromas of dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), herbal notes and a slight labrusca character. Early-ripening and extremely cold-hardy. Grown in Canada (Québec, Ontario) and the north-eastern USA for harsh continental climates. The wine region of Oregon

American benchmark for fresh, elegant Pinot Noir. Fine, silky reds with signature notes of red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, undergrowth and spice, delicate tannins and taut freshness — the closest style to Burgundy outside France. Iconic Willamette Valley on volcanic (Jory) and marine soils. Also precise, mineral Chardonnay, ample Pinot Gris (pear, honey), taut Riesling.

The word of the wine: Climate

Term used in Burgundy to designate a locality. The most famous climats are subject to specific recognition and constitute the first growths.
