Star of Condrieu AOC and Château-Grillet AOC, co-vinified in Côte-Rôtie with Syrah (up to 20%). Widely exported to California (Central Coast), Australia (Eden Valley) and Languedoc. A Rhône variety.

Mavrud is the signature Bulgarian indigenous red: dense and spiced with blackberry, plum, leather, tobacco and balsamic notes, firm tannins. Noble Xinomavro, Papaskarasi, Cabernet and Syrah as reds. Full Chardonnay, floral Muscat, Roditis and aromatic Malagousia as whites.
