Star of Condrieu AOC and Château-Grillet AOC, co-vinified in Côte-Rôtie with Syrah (up to 20%). Widely exported to California (Central Coast), Australia (Eden Valley) and Languedoc. A Rhône variety.

Signature Papazkarasi as native red king: supple and fruity with cherry, raspberry, plum, Mediterranean herbs and a peppery touch, fine tannins and refreshing palate. Native Karalahna and Adakarasi in denser reds, firm Cabernet and peppery Syrah as complement. Sub-zones Thrace and Canakkale in revival.
