Petit Verdot noir is a grape variety that originated in France (southwest). It produces a variety of grape specially used for wine making. It is rare to find this grape to eat on our tables. This variety of grape is characterized by small bunches and small grapes. Petit Verdot noir can be found in several vineyards: South-West, Languedoc & Roussillon, Cognac, Bordeaux, Rhone valley, Provence & Corsica, Loire valley, Savoie & Bugey, Beaujolais, Armagnac.

While not quite as well known as the neighboring region of Serra Gaúcha, Campanha – sometimes known as Fronteira – is beginning to attract attention for the quality of the wine produced. Soft, fruit-driven reds and rustic, Full-bodied whites are made in Campanha from Grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Chardonnay. As a relatively New wine area, viticulture was established in the region in the 1970s.
