Tonic and long finish. Absolute star of Rías Baixas DO in Galicia (Spain) and signature of Portuguese Vinho Verde as Alvarinho (Monção e Melgaço). DOP in south-western Asturias (Cangas del Narcea, Allande, Ibias…), heroic viticulture on mountain terraces (350-700 m) on slopes over 30%, cool Atlantic climate. Albarín Blanco is the native signature white: taut and aromatic with citrus, white flowers, green apple and an Atlantic mineral touch. Mencía is the signature red with red fruits, herbs and pepper notes, supple tannins. Albarín Negro, Carrasquín and Verdejo Negro are rare endemic reds.
